Hello, and thanks for your welcome.
The Raask Dragpipe has a somewhat hard and thin sound. It's way better than the original muffler, but I wish it could rumble a bit more and deeper. There's a little muffler you get with the pipe, which goes into the pipe if you want to lower the sound level, and it sounds better with the muffler inside than without it. So the sound is not the fatest around, but it looks great. One thought I have - but that's for the future - is to cut of most of the straight part of the pipe and put on a tube with a bigger diameter.
Other than that I´m sorry to say the replacement-pipe didn't arrive when I hoped. So no riding this weekend :(
My need for biking became a real pain until my friend (the one I bought my Savage from) came to my rescue. He lent me his Harley sportster so I could put a few miles of joy behind me. Unfortunately the gearbox of the Harley seems to be broken. This happened just at the end of my ride. Suddenly I couldn't shift from the first gear to the second. This phenomena came and went a few times, and now we're pretty sure it's broken. And the reapairing will not take place until the end of this month so now we're both wining about the "loss" of our steel-horses.
Hope you have better luck than us, and a good weather to go with it.
- Happy thumpin' -
